All Pro Wrestling - 2011 Young Lions Cup

The next event coming up is the 2011 Young Lions Cup Tournament on FRIDAY, April 1st with a special start time of 7:30pm. The Young Lions Cup tradition started in APW in 2008 and has since been one of the most popular events on the APW calendar year. The first entrant in the 2011 Young Lions Cup was announced at last night events as Matthew Theall has entered in his new client, Perry Von Vicious. PVV has wrestled all over the United States and has brought his talents into All Pro Wrestling. He has made a very bold claim that he will win all the championships in APW and the first being the 2011 Young Lions Cup. The second entrant entered into the eight man field of the 2011 Young Lions Cup will be APW’s own bright rookie Mikey Jay. Mikey Jay scored one of the biggest upsets in APW history (with a little help from Matt Carlos) when he pinned Rik Luxury two months ago. Since that victory Mikey Jay has come up a little short in his matches, but he always show the desire and the heart of a future champion.

This is going to be a war. That last match between these two ended up with the monster Malachi destroying Jeckles. This time, I'm sure that Jeckles will be ready for the war that will erupt between these two.
APW WORLD WIDE INTERNET HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP “Double D” Dave Dutra (c) vs. Corvus

Corvus won the 2010 Young Lions Cup. Dave Dutra is probably one of the most exciting young talents in NorCal today. Both competitors have a ton of upside. This will be an exciting match as these two have two unique styles when it comes to competing inside the squared circle.
Dylan Drake vs. “The Boss” Derek Sanders

Derek Sanders has a beef with Dylan Drake. Dylan was voted the sexist wrestler in a poll a few months back. Last month he locked in the Los Gatos Leg Lock and got the victory on Dylan Drake. There was a lot of controversy over the way it ended. Will Derek once again have something up his sleeve during this match to turn the table to his side?
“Big Country” Jody Kristofferson vs. “The Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro

This is the match I'm looking forward to the most. Jody got under Vinny skin ever since he was given a few shots with a belt by Dave Dutra earlier this year on Vinny. One of those shots hit him in the head and that doesn't sit too well with the leader of the Association. This will not end pretty!

Vennis DeMarco vs. Larry Blackwell w/ Matthew Theall
Vennis and Larry use to be tag team partners. Larry doesn't like losing and felt that Vennis was not pulling his weight. Pun intended. Ever since the split, Vennis has been on a roll.

The Reno SCUM vs. El Chupacabra & “Hard” Cory Dayton
The best tag team in NorCal, period! The Reno Scum are the best in the west. I would put them up against anyone in the country. That includes the Kings of Wrestling, The BDK and The Briscoe Brothers. They leave a wake of destruction where ever they go!

Chikara - King of Trios - 2010

It is time for my favorite tournament of the year, King of Trios!

A lot of people are calling this years tournament a let down after what we had last year. Don't be surprised if we see something big happen. One thing is, you can't have 2009's tournament every year.

So what will Chikara bring out this year? Team Mexico looks like they won't be able to be at the show. Who will take their place? I'm sure with Mike Quakenbush aligning himself with Dragon Gate, Ring of Honor booked their dates on the same weekend so Chikara would not be able to use their guys.

Good thing is, Chikara locked in three of ROH's guys prior to them announcing their run through the Midwest.

Even though the talent roster in some haters opinions is down from previous years, I like the fact that more of the Chikara roster is in the tournament. I can't wait. This will be fun. Life is good!

Supreme Pro Wrestling - April 18th - 10th Anniversary Show

Sunday April 18th - Supreme Pro Wrestling presents their 10th Anniversary show! Here is the rundown of this great show.

Main Event - Supreme Double Hell Challenge - Bobby Hart vs. El Chupacabra vs. "Money" Mike Rayne vs. Rik Luxury vs. ??? vs. ???

This match uses two rings. One ring is surrounded by a steel cage, the other, wrapped in barbed-wire. The only way to win, is to climb a ladder and reach the belt hanging high above the Steel Cage Ring, and then hang it high above the Barbed-Wire Ring.

The final two entrants in this match will be the final two competitors in the Last Chance Battle Royal.

SPW Championship Match, contested under British Rules - SPW Heavyweight Champion "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher vs. Cjay Kurz

If you haven't had the chance to see Timothy Thatcher wrestle, you need to. He is one part Johnny Saint, one part Dean Malenko and wrapped up in a brutal William Regal.

SPW Tag Team Championship Ladder Match - SPW Tag Team Champions The Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) vs. The West Coast Dragons (Corvus Ventura and Junior Morales)

The Reno Scum are the best tag team in the country. Period, end of story. I challenge you to come up with one any better. Watch these two work and you'll be impressed. They are just steps away from stardom. Take one giant and mix in a rottweiler, you have the makings of a great tag team. Luster and Adam just compliment each other. Don't count out the young guys, The West Coast Dragons. They have a lot going for them. Still only a few years of experience under their belts, hopefully The Reno Scum don't overlook them. Great line-up for ACE, this Saturday in Union City, New Jersey. Check out the commercial for the show below. The first Corino vs. Maff was a fantastic match, the rematch should be just as intense.

Just signed for the show, a Woman Superstars Uncensored match for the WSU Tag Team Championship.

The champions, Jessicka Havok & Hailey Hatred, will take on the current WSU World Champion, Mercedes Martinez & former WSU World Champion, Angel Orsini.

Those two matches almost has me hoping a jet to New Jersey.
